But its a neat option for anyone who just -needs- to have every possible high res everything. I used for a while but didnt reinstall it when I was checking out different face textures because I never noticed the difference, lol. I dont play female characters myself so Im not using it yet for my PC.

Im keeping an eye on, waiting for a few more hairstyles or hair mods like this to come out so someone can make an NPC replacer mod(Id probably make one if there were more hairstyles out).

is really nice and simple though, worth using even for people who dont want to use any other body mods IMO.īetter Males I havnt used yet but intend to get around to trying it since it looks like it works well with Smooth Faces, but I would only be using the body replacers and not any of the other face/hair options just so it matches with the rest of what Im using.

' XCE - Warpaint and Dirt ' can now, thanks to the latest version of SKSE, use the full 2048x2048 textures as Xenius originally intended. Xenius had to use 512x512 textures for warpaint and whatnot in XCE because of game limitations.

Someone looking to squeeze potential FPS might want to skip it(I didnt notice a drop), but if youre hurting that bad for frames youd want to skip body mods altogether. This mod is basically an update for ' XCE - Xenius Character Enhancement '. done by the same person who did Smooth Faces. Theyre unrealistically smooth, but not barbydoll/plastic smooth. , dimon recently put up face textures on the UNP page but I still much prefer these(and they also cover male faces) over them or Bellas. I prefer UNP over CBBE personally, so this is based around using UNP. Thanks for any responses I get any kind of feedback will be extremely beneficial in continuing my work on the blog. If the way to get the best results has to involve multiple mods, which combination has worked best for you? I'm assuming I'll probably use some of the individual mods by Xenius, but I want to ensure that everything is compatible with each other AND any body mods I may look into in the future. I'm unsure as to whether it is also incompatible with the Better Males body, but I intend to use that in the future as well.Īs much as I love the work that Xenius did to enhance various issues with the faces in-game, I'm afraid the compilation just isn't for me. The mod author states that it is incompatible with UNP, which will probably be my body replacer of choice once all the vanilla armor and clothing is replaced. I don't mind the foreheads because it makes them unique, but the eyes just make them all sleep-deprived.Ĥ. Dark Elves still have large bags under their eyes at all ages. The female human races still very noticable worry lines on their foreheads, which just looks strange on characters of younger ages.ģ. The female feet were replaced with nicer versions, but the male feet were unchanged.Ģ. Here's a quick list of problems I found with XCE maybe that will help people give me a few different recommendations.ġ. I was hoping to just get one big one and cover it in a single post, but after trying out XCE, which seems to be the best all-in-one option, I still had a couple issues. I determined it seemed to be related to leaving the UI when I saw it happen with another UI dialogue, when it appeared to freeze at the point you wanted to confirm exit from what I was doing (alchemy, I think). So I'm thinking about covering character enhancements in my next couple blog posts, but I'm not entirely sure where to begin. A typical example was when I waited in-game - you select your interval, press OK, game appears to freeze, then comes back (having correctly waited). Occasionally the game seems to freeze for a short while (of the order of 5 to 10 seconds) when exiting the UI. 0.218 does not do this, I haven't tried 0.219.Īnother oddity with both 0.221 and 0.220. Those screens were taken with 0.221, but I've also seen similar with 0.220 (only the bright version seemed permanent). Here's an example, taken in the Fort Dunstad compound on an in-game sunny morning:Īll I did to flip between these two was change my angle of view a little. They seem to flicker between two brightness levels depending on angle of view. However, there seems to be something amiss with snow textures.

Mostly OK - certainly I've not seen anything horrific on anyone's skin textures.
